We went here for my husband's birthday while we were in town. The service was friendly and helpful and the food was good. My husband's steak was very generous and he couldn't finish it all. We made reservations since it was rather small and later on more people were coming in.

Food and service are always awesome! We split both the burrata and steak between the two of us and it was the perfect amount of food.

Delicious brunch at Vivian! We started with the deviled eggs. Comes with three halves and topped with caviar. It's a small but indulgent dish. Next, we split the fried chicken biscuit and lamb benedict. Both were tasty but the biscuit stole the show for me - buttery goodness. The starter came out quick but the mains took at least 30 more minutes which felt a bit long but we enjoyed the ambiance of the patio so not a deal breaker. Wander around the studios of the River Arts District afterwards for the perfect Sunday afternoon.

I had the most fabulous dinner at Vivian tonight. Solo diner, walked in and was able to be sat at the bar. Porter was friendly and phenomenal all night long, from helping me with recommendations to making me the tastiest drinks. . I decided to try a bunch of small plates- salmon ceviche, squash salad, Sunchoke gratin, and scallop salad quenelle. Plus the olives :) this was a LOT of food but im a foodie and just needed to try a bunch of things. I thoroughly enjoyed everything. I perused the cocktail menu, had a glass of wine, and asked for a blood and sand- which is something a lot of bars can't/wont make. Porter made me a delicious iteration using a luxardo liqueur. I was too full for dessert but had a glass of dessert wine and took a goat cheese and pear tart to go. 10/10 experience and food. So glad I found this spot on my visit to Asheville. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience. Go glad we finally got here for a meal & it was on Valentine's Day! We had a couple cocktails each, 2apps and 2 entrees. Everything was full of flavor & didn't disappoint. Favorites of the night were smoked oysters, Nordic deviled eggs & the turtle dessert with goats cheese icecream l!! We will be back!

Vivian was recommended to me by someone I sat next to at the bar of Curate and I'm super glad I came. I liked it more than Curate. Cool, quaint space that would be a great date night. Here is what I had: - Vivian's steak dinner: not normally a ribeye person but it was really good. The sauce really made it special. - Salade se saison: simple, yet delicious would get it again. - root vegetables: good but I didn't realize that it's raw vegetables. The sauce again was delicious, but next time I wouldn't get both a salad and this.

I would give Vivian a 4.5 rating! This was our first time visiting, and we had a really enjoyable experience. Food - Our waiter recommended the steak, as it's their most popular dish, and now I see why! It was soooo delicious. The only reason I've docked the review by 0.5 is because I asked for my steak medium, but it was quite over cooked unfortunately. (NOTE: if I had shared this with my waiter, I'm 100% confident they would've taken it back and corrected it asap! We were on a time crunch to get to a concert, so I didn't bother to do that.) Service - Excellent service, waiter was very knowledgeable and shared many great recommendations. Ambiance - Such a cool spot in the heart of RAD, and a warm, intimate, cozy ambiance, perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. We will definitely be back!

We went to Vivian this past weekend while visiting Asheville and had a lovely experience! Vivian is cozy and small, and the service was wonderful. One thing I love about the space is that although small, they did not try and cram too many tables in there, so we still had enough space to enjoy without being seated on top of others. We started with a few appetizers: deviled eggs, burrata with crostini, and marinated olives. All of these items were delicious, but the olives (yes, olives) deserve an award. These were the best olives we both have ever had, and I hope to make a copycat recipe at home! The burrata was fresh and flavorful, and also highly recommend that dish. For the entrees, I ordered the steak dinner and my husband the trout. I ordered the steak medium-well due to being pregnant, and although it came out more so well done, it was one of the best I have ever had! The dish is served with "world famous steak sauce" for a reason! The steak was served with creamy mashed potatoes and so delicious! We ended the night with dessert of course, Apple Tarte Tatin. This was amazing but I do wish it had a little more "puff pastry." Either way, fresh and flavorful! We would surely dine at Vivian again and highly recommend this spot! Be sure to make a reservation in advance!

Corey was our server. He was wonderful and attentive! Mimosas were $9. Chicken biscuit- $16 Viv Breakfast - $14 Portions were generous. Such a sweet, cozy place. Food was delicious. We made reservations. Jelly is THE BEST.
